Biography
Polish-born Concert Violinist Anna Orlik is a laureate of international and national competitions:
1st Prize and Special Prize at the 6th International Wolfgang Marschner Violin Competition
in Germany; Violin Winner at the Deena Shypitka 2015 Music Award, UK; Solo Category Award
and Ludwig Spohr Foundation Prize at the International Max Reger Competition
in Sondershausen, Germany; International Festival Allegro Vivo Award, Austria;
and in Poland, Special Prize at the International Karol Szymanowski Competition, Łódź;
and three prizes at the National Stanisław Serwaczyński Violin Competition,
Lublin:3nd Prize, Youngest Finalist Prize and Special Prize for the best interpretation of
Karol Josef Lipiński's work; Laureate of The Institute of Music and Dance Programme- 'New
Interpretations'. As a laureate of Young Artist Program of the Rome Chamber Music Festival 2014, Anna was invited to perform at Palazzo Barberini in Rome, Italy.
Anna's performing experience includes solo appearances with Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra, Lower Silesia Philharmonic
Orchestra, Podkarpacka Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra of Zielona Góra, Polish Chamber Philharmonic
Orchestra (Sopot), Łomża Chamber Orchestra, Z Brzewski Warsaw String Orchestra, Polish Land Armed Forces Orchestra,
Loh- Orchester Sondershausen, Deutsche Spohr Philharmonie Freiburg, Deutsche Spohr Akademie Freiburg.
Conductors she has cooperated with include: Maxim Vengerov, Marek Pijarowski, Wojciech Rajski, Miroslaw Jacek Blaszczyk, Czeslaw
Grabowski, Jacek Rogala, Hiroaki Masuda, Wolfgang Marschner and Alexander Stessin.
During the Gstaad Menuhin Festival 2016, she performed the Sonata for two violins by S. Prokofiew together with Maxim Vengerov. Anna has collaborated in concerts with him and the other renowned artists: Cecilia Bartoli, Gary Hoffman, Baiba Skride, Wolfgang Marschner, also jazz- Avishai Cohen Trio and pop- Germaine Jackson, Noa.
In June 2017, Anna has toured South America (Peru, Argentina, Equador and Chile), as soloist and member of The Menuhin Academy Soloists.
Since her teens Anna has performed recitals and concerts internationally in England, Scotland, Italy, Germany, Austria, Norway, France, Macedonia, Sweden, Denmark,Ukraine, the Netherlands, South America, as well as in her native Poland.

Anna Orlik is a graduate of the International Menuhin Music Academy in Switzerland and has studied with the worldwide acclaimed musician- Maxim Vengerov.
Before she has graduated from the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London with first class honors and the Regency Award, Reckitt Award and Roth Prize. In London she studied violin with Maurice Hasson and Mateja Marinkovic, and viola with James Sleigh. Anna has been supported by the Zetland Foundation, Tillet Trust, Leverhulme Trust.
Anna also studied at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw with Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, and was awarded the Ministry
of Culture and Young Poland Scholarships.
Anna has received lessons and performed in public masterclasses with Maxim Vengerov, György Pauk, Zakhar Bron, Wolfgang
Marschner, Grigory Zhislin, Mirosław Ławrynowicz, Petru Munteanu, Bartlomiej Nizioł, Marina Jaschwili, Ian Brown, Vladymir Mendelssohn, Robert McDuffie, and Josef Luitz.
Anna has recorded for Acte Prealable, CD Accord, Austrian National Radio Broadcast, Polish National Radio Broadcast No.2 and Polish
Television Kultura, Polish Radio Rzeszów, Tunisian Radio and Television Broadcast, and many others.
Future appearances include concert tours as IMMA soloist to Monte Carlo/Monaco and Katowice/Poland,
Anna plays on a violin made by Januarius Gagliano from 1770, generously made available to her by a private sponsor.
